About Anastasiia

I am an English teacher, an immigrant, and the host of the English Canada podcast. I help newcomers speak English with confidence and pass the exams that open doors in Canada.

My story

English became my profession after a year in the United States on the FLEX exchange program, living with an American host family. That year shaped my accent, my ear, and my love for the language as people actually speak it.

I hold Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Linguistics with a specialization in teaching English as a foreign language. After university I taught one-on-one, then built my own online language school, where I prepared students for Cambridge exams and trained other teachers.

In spring 2022 I moved to Canada. I joined a language college in Toronto, worked with immigrants from all over the world, became a certified CELPIP and CAEL instructor, and developed a CELPIP preparation program. In 2024, with a high CELPIP score of my own, I became a permanent resident through the Canadian Experience Class.

Today I teach privately and in small groups, and I share what I have learned in the podcast and on social media. I know the immigration path from the inside, and that is exactly what I bring to every lesson.
